Engagement!! Finally!

I can't believe it has been as long as it has. Preston and I officially decided we were a couple April 18, 2012, and man does time fly. We had talked about life together many different times and what we both saw for the future, and oddly enough our plans meshed very well. I have grown to love Preston and his amazing family very deeply over the years and I can't wait to spend more time with them in the adventurous days to come.

Ready to go out, so Handsome!

We decided to have a date night a few weeks ago, on one of my few Saturday's off. I was just planning on one similar to those in the past, little did I know what surprise lay in store for me. After going to dinner and a movie, Preston said he had one more surprise. We drove to Sunnyside Park here in Pullman, and Preston pulled a blanket and wicker basket out of the trunk. It was dark by this point, so we ha the place to ourselves.

We laid the blanket out next to the pond, and then Preston put a bunch of white candles in a circle around us, so we could sit in the candlelight. We sat and talked for a while about our relationship and where we saw our future going. Preston asked me to stand up closer to the edge of the pond so he could point something out to me.

He then started talking about how much he loved me and all the things I stood for and wanted to accomplish in this life. I got an inkling at this point something was about to happen. He then got down on one knee and asked that special question. I was so surprised that I could only whisper "yes" and he had to ask me to repeat myself, oh brother. He picked out such a beautiful and simple ring, and I really can't wait to see what the future is going to hold for me.

Its so sparkly!!! *Minions Laugh*

We were getting ready the next morning and I look over to see Wynter sunning herself, and looking very smug at the same time. She must think she got left out of the action.

Such a silly cat!

I got my camera out to upload the pictures and post about it, and I found this gem waiting for me. Preston really is quite a goofy person. Oh dear.

Rumble in the Jungle

So... We got a cat tree. Rachael and I had always wanted a cat tree and not just any old one, it had to be a good one, so we waited until the moment was right. We were originally planning on making a big trip to Lewiston, until we heard there was a Petco opening up in Moscow. So we made a plan and put it into action. We went to Petco during its grand opening where we got a 20% discount plus two 10$ gift cards. All in all we bought an expensive fancy cat tree for a great price. Upon getting back to the apartment, we immediately set it up and put it to the test. Wynter, our cat took a couple of minutes getting used to it but gave it an astounding ok, so all was good. Just another adventure in apartment life.

Natural Arch of the Palouse

This weekend I enjoyed some time with family and friends. We played a mix of things at my parents place such as some card games, Catan, horseshoes, ect. Rachael had some work come up so she kept busy this weekend with a little bit of time spent with family on Friday. Also we decided to find the basalt arch of the Palouse down the road from the house. It was a bit of a hike though some rough terrain but we found it. Overall it was a blast.

Cookin' dem apples

So Rachael gave me permission to post on this blog so you get to hear things from Preston's point of view. Anyways, we borrowed my parents dehydrator and decided to put all the apples we got from the orchard to good use. Its a fun process watching apples turn into dehydrated apple chips, with a hint sugar and cinnamon. Overall it's a good time.

Oh and sleepy cat.

First Post

Hello Everyone! I hope your fall is going as well as mine is. I decided to join the blogging community, with some help from the tech whiz Preston. I love being able to share about my life with family and friends, and I hope you will all enjoy the memories I will share in the times to come. Enjoy the changing leaves, cooler weather, and yearly fall memories that are sure to come in the near future. If nothing else, take a day or part of a day to just sit and relax with a good book or movie, as there will surely be lots of activities in the days to come.
